Our 2nd visit to Topsail was so much fun. She loved the water this year and did not want to be out of it. Can't wait to go back or at least get to Hilton Head in October.

Father's Day and Trip to Maryland

Our first trip of the Summer was to Maryland. We spent a week visitng family and friends. We luckily were there for Father's Day so Savannah got to spend the day with her Daddy, her Poppy and Grandpa!

Catching up

I cannot believe I have not updated this site in almost two months. Yes, you can say it, I am a bad Mommy. The Summer seems to be flying by. I always thought that a stay at home mom had tons of extra time and that I would be updating her blog, scrapbooking our lives and fixing gourmet dinners every night while the house was always spotless. Needless to say that is not reality. Savannah and I are on the go alot. Going to the pool, to playgroups, meeting up with friends, the library storytime, etc. I certainly do not have much free time. This is the best time of my laugh. Savannah in no way shape or form has her Dad's laid back, chill personality. Nope, she is my girl. No patience, no patience, no patience. She wants something, she wants it right then and she wants it her way. I think this would drive most parents insane but I can it drive me insane when she is a mini me. Sometimes when she throws her self on the floor when she does not get her way I laugh to myself thinking that many times I would like to do that too. She cracks me up and I love her intensity. It does seem like she is starting to change a little now that her communication skills are improving. Just yesterday I felt like we had our first "conversation." She woke up and I went into her room to get her. Her first word to me was pool. Like as if to say "are we going to the pool today?" I said that we were not going to the pool but going over to Ms. Tracy's (next door neighbor) to run through the sprinkler and play with her friends. She then got a huge smile on her face and said "happy." I asked her if that news made her happy and she smiled a huge grin. It made my day. This is just one of the many examples I can give everyday of why I am so thrilled to be able to be home with her right now. Enjoy these pictures of our Summer fun!!!
